Best kept secret about your area?

Favorite place to go shoot?

Favorite place I've ever shot was Iceland, there's so much to shoot and it's unlike anything I've ever seen.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself!

In 2011 I was on the gameshow "Wipeout" - and I won!

How did you get into photography and the outdoors? What makes you love it?

I got into photography by accident actually. My first “love” and passion has always been films and making them. One year, the Canon 7D was released, and the era of filmmakers using DSLRs was just starting — so I jumped to using that camera to make my films. Slowly I was realizing that I don’t need to use this camera just for video — and started experimenting with photography. I already knew composition from all the films I’ve made, so I really started looking for my style when it came to photos. Been doing it ever since!

What do you do outside of photography?

I am also a filmmaker and entrepreneur.

Which Lander product is your favorite?

I love the power banks! I rely on them so heavily, I don't even plug into the wall anymore to charge - it's too limiting. I like to be mobile and move around. I even charge my cameras on them!

What advice would you give to people who want to get into adventure photography?

There's a big difference between dreamers and doers. If you want to do something, then do it. If something is holding you back, it's only a minor speed bump if it's your dream. You want to take amazing landscapes but have no money for a plane ticket? Then do something closer and drive. Camp in your car. Make it happen. People say that if plan "A" doesn't work, then you have plan "B" to work toward. I don't believe in that, for me, it's plan "A" or bust. I only want to do one thing, and if you only have one plan, you do everything in your power to see that plan come to fruition. Failure is not an option - and failure isn't when something doesn't work - failure is when you give up. More about this on my blog:
