The best kept secret in my area is the Umpqua National Forest. There are many great
views and lots of waterfalls that not many people know about.

How did you get into photography and the outdoors? What
you love it?
When I was 15, we had a big snow storm in my area. Being the kid I was, I couldn't
stand being stuck inside so I went into the backyard. I started snapping pictures of the plants

The thing I love most about photography is the memories you make. I remember my first hike with
camera like it was yesterday. My friend let me borrow his family's Canon Powershot. We went to a
secret spot called the "Cliffs." It was foggy the entire hike and once we reached the top, the
burnt off right in front of us revealing a view of the Willamette valley as the sunset. I still
remember us running around on top of the cliffs because of the pure stoke of what we were
What do you do outside of photography?
I just graduated from high school. One of my biggest hobbies outside of photography
Lacrosse. I played all 4 years in high school and hope to continue playing in the local men's
league. I am currently working for the University of Oregon Concessions. I work things such as
football and basketball games.
Which Lander product is your favorite?
My favorite Lander product is the Cascade 5200 Power Bank. This my favorite because
it's convenient size and charging capability. If I'm ever in a situation where I need to charge
something. I know I can rely on my Power Bank.
What advice would you give to people who want to get into
My advice to people who want to get into adventure photography is to just do it.
with whatever you have. I can say from personal experience, that you don't need the best gear to
make great memories or to take photos that you're proud of.
